The summer sun shines on Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick and the ruins of the Cadillac Hotel, as he announces the commencement of restoration of this faded queen of the Detroit hotels. The world's largest hotel, when it was built, will be restored as a 483 room hotel and 92 condominiums. Michigan Governor Jennifer Granholm, hands raised, joins the celebration.
