The Lobby of the Metropolitan Building

The pace of Downtown Detroit redevelopment is everywhere to be seen these days.

Passing by this fabulous ruin today, I noticed workmen outside and the front open so I popped inside to capture this image of its once grand lobby.

The building is being cleaned out.  Is renovation next? Click image for more pictures.
