New houses are rising all over the lower Eastside such as these moderate income units.  They are just north of the river and adjacent to Maheras Park.  Behind them tower the "Two Brothers",  the remaining stacks of the Eastside's most prominent landmark, Detroit Edison's Connors Creek Power Station.  The more famous "Seven Sisters" , a seven stack power unit, which would have stood to the left of the "Brothers", was demolished in the late nineties.
