This great room greeted me when I ventured inside the open building. The appointments were not rich, inelegant false beams and overbearing wood paneling, but the flow of light and vistas were stunning. To the right it opened into a large windowed area overlooking the golf course and containing a dance hall. In the back behind the spiraling stairway with stripped banister, a huge fireplace stood.
