Evening gathers at Detroit Contemporary Gallery

DETROIT CONTEMPORARY GALLERY

In Detroit what meets the eye often does not betray what the heart holds.   A 19th Century storefront standing alone amid weed filled lots upon which hundreds of homes once stood may be shrugged off as yet another faceless ruin to the less discriminating eye. Yet, it is there that the secret, exciting side of Detroit often blossoms.

Today's ruin is yet another example of art among the ruins; for art thrives where large inexpensive spaces, shunned by others, exist. Welcome to the Detroit Contemporary Gallery.
