DETROIT TECHNO

Techno comes home. The international techno culture that arose from the ruins of Detroit was celebrated by a million visitors at the 1st Detroit Electronic Music Festival in Hart Plaza.

On Memorial Day weekend 2000, the 1st Detroit Electronic Music Festival was held in Hart Plaza.  It is fitting that this international cultural movement, which has so many founding roots Detroit, should finally have its recognition in the city of its origin.
