I became aware of this issue after two customers reported that their shopping carts were shown as being empty after they had selected an item for purchase.

DO IT YOURSELFERS
I have addressed this issue with CafePress.com, the company that handles the transactions. The Cafepress.com support people said this is most likely due to the privacy setting in your web browser being set too high whereby you are not allowing "3rd party cookies".  [A cookie is a small file that is commonly placed in a 'cookies' folder which enhance website presentations and functionality.] If you are familiar with this you can change that setting in Internet Explorer by going to Tools > Internet Options > Privacy > Advanced Settings and allowing your browser to accept 3rd Party cookies.  [Other browsers will have similar options in their preferences settings.]
