Jeff Colby
1964 - 2007

Detroit ambassador, champion of Detroit, kind soul, healer and friend. Jeff [aka ItsJeff of the DetroitYES forum] was a brilliant, humorous and caring forum member who worked to bring forum members out from behind their monitors and the anonymity of their avatars into the real life night spots of Detroit where many real world friendships were forged.  As "cruise director" of the FSC "Forum Social Club" [as these informal gatherings are dubbed] he called out the meeting places and arranged an annual summer picnics on Belle Isle.

Featured Site:  Woodbridge Tavern

The Woodbridge Tavern on St. Aubin was a Rivertown drinking establishment for nearly a century until speculation that it would be expropriated for a casino site led to its closing a few years ago.  During the rum-running hey days of Prohibition, the Woodbridge ran a speakeasy out of its basement which was frequented by members of the infamous Purple Gang.
