I'm getting hungry -- heading to kitchen to work something out! Yeah, Smart Balance may be the move.

Alright... wiping the drool off my keyboard... all this savory talk reminded me of a very tasty butter substitute that I've been buying as of late. It's called "Brummel & Brown"... and it contains 35% Vegetable Oil Spread and 10% nonfat yogurt. Although that doesn't sound very good... the taste is very very good. Found at most better food stores and Kroger, and comes in a blue plastic tub.

^^^ Hmmm, sounds like a winner! I'll try a small tub to see how I like it...
I too would recommend Brummell and Braun. It has a very creamy texture and a rich flavor. I go with the SmartBalance because of a cholesterol problem.

*brown*...very good indeed! i purchase 3 or 4 when it's on sale and freeze them.
[QUOTE=Maof;415541] ...Brown? Really? Gosh, in my head I see 'Braun' must be some intractable glitch in my Teutonic DNA. Thank you for the correction.
...and i don't know why when i try to quote you the actual quotation marks didn't show up
