    Default ROF Rory Kennedy 101008

Republicans in America want us to believe that our country is always under attack by illegal immigrants. Conservative commentators on Fox News tell us that these people are coming to America to rape women, join gangs, and sell drugs. These assertions couldn’t be farther from the truth but it didn’t stop the government from granting permission to build a 2,000 mile-long border fence to try to keep immigrants from entering the country through our southern border. Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. talks with documentary filmmaker Rory Kennedy, whose latest film “The Fence,” talks about why this is a waste of taxpayer resources and why this fence completely ignores the real threat to America.

Default Papantonio: Joe Miller - Professionally Impotent Teabagger

Joe Miller is running a close race up in Alaska but as the media focuses more on this tea bagger, we're starting to see a lot of ugly skeletons emerging from his closet. Mike Papantonio joins radio host Ed Schultz to discuss a few of the many issues that voters need to know before casting a vote for this nutjob.

Default US Chamber Attacks Middle Class Americans

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce recently announced plans to pour more than $75 million dollars into political campaigns this year on top of the $133 million dollars they've already spent on lobbying this year. And if you think that they're doing this to help small businesses and consumers, you'd better think again. The Chamber has a very specific agenda that only benefits major corporations and Mike Papantonio discusses that agenda with Christy Setzer, Communications Director for US Chamber Watch.

Default Papantonio: Tell Teabaggers to go to Hell at the Polls

It appears that the Tea Party is getting desperate. They know that they will never attract minority voters so they've come up with a new plan: they are simply going to prevent those folks from making it to the voting booth. Mike Papantonio appears on MSNBC's The Ed Show to discuss the GOP/Tea Party's efforts at "voter caging" in the 2010 midterm election.

Default Ed Schultz: Sharon Angle is a Liar and a Dirty Fighter

Ed Schultz blasts Sharon Angle over her constant attacks on Harry Reid's manhood. She has nothing substantive to say on the issues so she's doing the only thing she can - attacking him below the belt.

Default Papantonio: Young Voters Crucial to Democratic Victory

Early voting is underway and the Democrats are coming out in larger numbers than the Republicans. Could this be the early signs of a surprise upset for the GOP? Only if the Democrats spend the remaining week encouraging the young voters to get out and make their voices heard. Mike Papantonio talks with Ed Schultz about what the Democrats can do to hang onto power in Washington.

Default Papantonio: China and the US Chamber Buy American Elections

Republicans seem to believe that limitless campaign donations are just an expression of free speech, not a hijacking of democracy. Mike Papantonio takes on a panel of neo-con nuts who seem to think that corporations buying politicians is actually a good thing.

Default Ed Schultz: Tea Party Violence is a Threat to Democracy

Ed Schultz is pissed off - But can you blame him? A Rand Paul teabag supporter stomped on the head of a MoveOn.org volunteer at a rally recently and the media is silent. The cops on the scene were silent. Will you stay silent about this? Pass this along to everyone you know.

    Title of that article:
Rand Paul volunteer seeks apology from liberal activist he stomped
There's no way to reason with these folks. The difference between a liar and a pathological liar is the latter thinks his lies are true.

Default Ed Schultz: Rand Paul Needs to Man Up

The man who stomped the head of a MoveOn.org volunteer outside of a Rand Paul teabagger rally is now saying that the victim should apologize to HIM! And in all of this, Rand Paul remains silent, save for a few jabs at the left on Fox News. Watch as Ed Schultz tears Rand a new one for being too cowardly to condemn the actions of the people on his payroll.

Default Papantonio: It's Clear the Teabaggers Are Dangerous

The man who stomped on the head of a MoveOn.org volunteer outside of a Rand Paul Teabagger rally believes that the victim should be apologizing to him! As Mike Papantonio points out on The Ed Show, this man is representative of the insanity and psychopathic tendencies of the entire Teabagger/GOP movement.

    Default ROF Jeff Sharlet 101007

For decades in Washington, D.C., a secretive group known as The Family has been working behind the scenes to empower a few select politicians, and to influence the decisions that shape our country. Not only has this group operated in almost complete secrecy, but they've also skewed Christianity to the point where they believe that God wants us to take care of the rich and powerful more than the poor and hungry. Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. talks about this secret Family in Washington with Jeff Sharlet, author of the new book "C Street: The Fundamentalist Threat to American Democracy."

Default Chamber of Commerce Declares War on Civil Justice System

The US Chamber of Commerce has launched a full attack against America's civil justice system and the attorneys and advocates who help consumers. And they are winning. Even with the unprecedented numbers of pharmaceutical and consumer product recalls, environmental disasters, and corporate misconduct in America, people still think that corporations are working to make their lives healthier and happier. Mike Papantonio talks with Linda Lipsen, the CEO of the American Association for Justice, about why we need to fight back against the Chamber and work to build a stronger civil justice system in America.

Default Papantonio: Stewart wants us to be Teletubbies and be Sweet?

At this past weekend's "Rally to Restore Sanity," Jon Stewart told us that we must have been delusional these past 10 years -- that if we had only been civil and compromising the Republicans would not have filibustered issues like health care reform. They would have willingly compromised and not filibustered on issues like the extension of unemployment benefits for jobless Americans. They would have gladly given Democrats everything they wanted on issues like reforming / regulating Wall Street. Or an energy policy that is sane or global climate change. The truth is the only time Obama and the Democrats made any progress at all was when they admitted that there is no bipartisan possibility with the Republican Teabaggers who are owned and operated by Goldman Sachs, Exxon, Boeing, and McDonald Douglas.

Default Papantonio and Schultz on Stewart's Naive Compromise Theory

Mike Papantonio and Ed Schultz discuss Jon Stewart's make believe idea that Democrats should try to make nice and compromise with the GOP, when that party has shown nothing but contempt for everything the Democrats have tried to accomplish.

Default Wall Street Cheats the Middle Class Again

If it seems like America's big banks still aren't playing by the rules, that's probably because they aren't. Their thinking is that because they are too big to fail, and too influential in Washington, they can just get Washington to change the rules as they go along and bail them out whenever needed. And sadly that's what is happening in America today. Banks keep breaking the rules; Washington pretends not to notice, while the middle class is being forced to pick up the tab for the whole mess. Mike Papantonio talks about the latest Wall Street swindle with Mike Lux, co-founder and CEO of Progressive Strategies.

Default The Face of an American Generation Lost

Republicans in Washington had no problem handing over billions of dollars to their pals on Wall Street when they were in trouble but they refuse to extend unemployment benefits for Americans who are still unable to find work in our economy. And even as corporate profits have reached back up to record levels, job creation has remained stagnant. The result of this is that we've created a lost generation of American workers -- those people who want to work but can't find meaningful employment. Mike Papantonio talks with investigative journalist Andy Kroll who's been traveling the country meeting with this lost generation that the Republicans don't seem to care about.

Default Papantonio: Teabaggers and the Stray Cat Syndrome

Is the GOP already fracturing after their midterm victories? It appears so, with Tea Partiers like Sarah Palin and Jim DeMint blaming the "mainstream" republicans for the Tea Party's losses and those same "mainstream" republicans are blaming the Tea Party for losing them the Senate. Mike Papantonio appears on The Ed Show to discuss the internal fighting that is fracturing the GOP.

Default Papantonio: Old People Flipping Burgers

Should Americans be required to work an additional 3 years before receiving Social Security benefits? With epidemic rates of obesity, heart disease, and cancer, are we really going to live long enough to work a few more years? Not only do Republicans think so, but a lot of liberals are jumping on board as well. Mike Papantonio takes on Larry Kudlow and others to debate the issue.

Default Papantonio: Obama Has Lost His Backbone

He caved in on the Bush tax cuts. He's considering slashing Social Security and Medicare. The question now is whether or not he will stand and fight the Republicans who are trying to dismantle his greatest legislative accomplishment - healthcare reform. Mike Papantonio talks with Ed Schultz about Obama's seemingly missing backbone and what we can do to once again get him fighting.
