Rep. Darrell Issa is attempting to take down President Obama one subpoena at a time. According to Issa, Obama is one of the most corrupt presidents of all time. REALLY? Not only is he lacking any sort of evidence but he's clearly lacking any sort of rational thinking. Ed Schultz takes on Issa and the new Congress in last night's Fired Up segment.

Default Papantonio: Republicans Digging Their Own Grave

The GOP wants to ban earmarks in Congress while extending the trillion-dollar tax cuts for millionaires and billionaires. They don't seem to realize that earmark projects are already fully funded and that they help create local jobs and businesses throughout America. Mike Papantonio and Ed Schultz talk about how the GOP will self destruct under their own proposals.

Default Ed Schultz: Earmarks Have Nothing to do with Deficit

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell is bowing to Tea Party pressure over earmarks. He seems to have forgotten that he has received more than $1 billion dollars for his state of Kentucky. Ed Schultz is Fired Up over the earmark issue because after all, it will do nothing to solve the deficit problem.

Default Ed Schultz: GOP is Party of Disrespect

John Boehner and Mitch McConnell decided to stand the President up on his invitation to a White House summit with the Republicans. They claimed that they couldn't meet with him because they were busy organizing their caucus. These people are filled with loathing and disrespect for President Obama and Ed Schultz tears into them during last night's "Fired Up" segment.

Default Midterm Elections Demonstrate Need for Revolution

This year's midterm election results didn't come as a surprise to many people but what is surprising is that the Tea Party Republicans were able to convince so many people to vote against their own interests. What's even worse is that President Obama has now decided that instead of fighting the GOP majority he's going to just go along with them and let their disastrous economic and social policies be resurrected. It's becoming clear that average US citizens have no allies in our federal government so the question now is "what do we do?" Mike Papantonio talks with blogger and author David DeGraw, who says that the first step we can take in reclaiming America is to educate ourselves and others about what is really happening in our country.

Default Papantonio: Mr. Obama, The Chamber of Commerce Hates You

During his presidential campaign President Obama took a lot of heat from Republicans for saying that he was willing to sit down with our enemies to negotiate. Unfortunately he's decided to sit down with the wrong enemies today. Obama and the US Chamber of Commerce will be sitting down together in the next few weeks to discuss a potential "truce." This is the group that spent millions of dollars to defeat every reform that Obama attempted to institute in the last two years and he wants to play nice? Mike Papantonio and Ed Schultz blast the President for his attempt to appease his enemies instead of launching investigations into their activities.

Default Ed Schultz Blasts the Unpatriotic Millionaire Members of Congress

Congress has more millionaires per capita than any city in the country so it is no wonder that all of the Republicans in Washington want the Bush tax cuts to be extended - they could lose a tiny amount of money! Ed Schultz blasts these Republicans for being unpatriotic greedy millionaires who only care about themselves.

Default Papantonio: Feinberg Acting Like Predatory Lender with BP Claims

Ken Feinberg has been slow to make payments to the victims of the BP oil spill, and local and national officials are losing their patience with him. Mike Papantonio and Ed Schultz discuss Feinberg's latest actions, which resemble the predatory practices of Wall Street more than those of a consumer advocate.

    Default The Great American Stickup

    Attachment 7889
    The Great American Stickup
When you look at the root causes of our current financial disaster, they can all be traced back to the disastrous policies put in place by Ronald Reagan in his never-ending quest to appease Wall Street. But the truth is that since the day Reagan took office, we haven't had an American president that was willing to stand up to the corrupt bankers on Wall Street and each of Reagan's predecessors has managed to grant every wish they made. Mike Papantonio discuss what has happened to our financial sector with Robert Scheer, author of the new book "The Great American Stickup: How Reagan Republicans and Clinton Democrats Enriched Wall Street While Mugging Main Street."

Default Ed Schultz: GOP Wants Unemployed to Suffer

The Republicans say that spending $12 billion to extend unemployment benefits is too costly yet they have no problem spending $12 trillion to extend the tax cuts for millionaires. Ed Schultz assails the GOP over their refusal to extend benefits to needy families.

Default Papantonio: Crazy Joe Barton The War Sissy

Rep. Joe Barton [[R-TX) says that he's ready to play the role of General Patton in the Republicans' war against Obama, with Boehner and Cantor helping. The GOP has devolved into full-blown delusion and yet Obama seems to want to still play nice and try to compromise. As Mike Papantonio points out on The Ed Show, you can't compromise with psychopaths.

    Attachment 7933
Republicans Walking President Obama Like a Dog
Progressives across America are upset that Obama has chosen to allow the Republicans to walk all over him. We voted for a fighter, not a lapdog. Ed Schultz is "Fired Up" over the contempt that Obama is showing to his base.

    Default Herding Donkeys

During the 2004 primary season Howard Dean put together a grassroots movement that forever changed American politics. This strategy was used by the Democrats to make huge gains in both the 2006 and 2008 elections. But just days after Barack Obama won the presidential election this grassroots movement was disbanded and disowned by the Democratic Party and the coalition of activists that had helped put the party in power were now being kicked out. Mike Papantonio talks with Ari Berman, author of the new book "Herding Donkeys," who says that the Democrats will not be able to win again if they don't embrace the movement that Dean created.

Default Papantonio: A Psychiatric Evaluation of Obama

Obama did not grow up wearing expensive tailored suits, playing golf, with a pass into every ultra-exclusive social club on the planet. There was a day when he walked around in tattered jeans without enough money to pay a cab fare. What most of us missed in our hopes about our Obama mirage was that once he made it into those exclusive clubs he would close the door behind him and never look back.

Default Media Turns Monsters into Humans

In the last few weeks TV screens across the country have been showing images of people like George Bush and Sarah Palin seemingly nonstop. But they aren't talking about their crimes or complete lack of political knowledge. They're talking about their personal lives, what they do in their spare time. Basically, they're allowing these monsters to appear like average Americans, just trying to get by in life. Mike Papantonio talks with political satirist Matt Filipowicz who's been keeping an eye on how the media is attempting to humanize these right wing figures.
