During the Bush administration not a single piece of legislation to combat global warming was signed into law. As a result the US lagged behind most other industrialized nations in curbing carbon emissions. But just this week we've seen major breakthroughs with the EPA finally acknowledging that greenhouse gases pose a threat to human health. Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. talks about the changing tide and whether or not we'll be seeing the US take on a more prominent leadership role in the climate change arena with Congressman Ed Markey.

Thank G-d for GWB for not forwarding the hoax that is manmade global warming at taxpayer's expense.

That is news? How long can Godowntv continue with only one viewer who works for them marketing by way of clipping and pasting on other websites?
In a shocking development, Headzup finds themselves agreeing with John McCain over the renewal of the Glass-Steagal act.

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton announced last week that the US would help raise $100 billion a year to help fight climate change. Needless to say, this has the Republican Party in an uproar. They claim that we don't have the money to commit to this climate fund, but as Mike Papantonio tells us on Fox News' Bulls and Bears, the real cost we need to be concerned with is the cost of doing nothing.

Wal-Mart wants to open up new stores in Chicago and according to them create thousands of new jobs for Chicago residents. The only thing standing in their way are unions who want the big box behemoth to commit to paying liveable wages to employees and offering benefits. The minimum wage jobs that the company offers won't do much good for a family of 4 trying to get by, which Mike Papantonio points out in his latest appearance on Fox News' Bulls and Bears.

Hmm..livable wages, or any wages versus no wages...not a tough call.
After several unpopular compromises on health care reform and after the revelation that the White House didn't put any pressure on Joe Lieberman to support the public option, President Barack Obama decided to do something to bring a little holiday cheer to the White House. He decided to dress up as Santa Claus for the kids.
Unfortunately for the President, one young boy wasn't exactly in the holiday spirit and ended up causing a bit of a scene. Take a look.

With the Senate expected to pass a healthcare bill lacking the public option, stocks are on the rise. But is this a correlation that Wall Street is pleased with less government? Mike Papantonio tells FOX Business otherwise and that the market reflects the mood of the country.

President Obama has been pushing for big banks to start lending to more small businesses to help create more job growth in the US but is it those risky loans that got this country in this mess in the first place? Mike Papantonio appears on FOX Business to talk about how it’s time for big bankers to hold up to their end of the bailout.

Since taking office in January, President Obama has been battling issues like Healthcare Reform and Bank lending but a recent Rasmussen poll shows that fifty-five percent of Americans disapprove of Obama’s performance as President. Mike Papantonio appears on FOX News’ Happy Hour to explain how Obama should look past polls and focus more on the economy.

Last weekend Joe Lieberman told Harry Reid that he will filibuster any healthcare bill that contains reforms that would help the American people. These days Lieberman is looking a lot less like an Independent and more and more like one of those tea-bagging right wingers that dress up like Paul Revere on the weekends. Luckily we've got comedian Matt Filipowicz to give us some insight into the increasingly unstable mind of Joe Lieberman.

Total duration 20 minutes:As the healthcare debate rages on in Washington it's always comforting to know that there are still a few Democrats in the beltway who won't back down and won't compromise what they believe. One of those people is Congressman Alan Grayson from Florida who isn't afraid to speak his mind and call out the Republicans when they mislead the American people. And we're pleased to welcome Congressman Grayson back to the show, to give us an update on some of the hottest issues being debated in Congress right now.

Fixing the Wrong Healthcare Problems
If you happen to believe what the right wing talking heads are telling you then you probably believe that our government can't run a healthcare system and that the only way to bring costs down with healthcare is to let private insurance companies continue to call the shots. Not only are both of these claims completely false but they both address the wrong issues with our healthcare system. The problems we should be addressing are availability of services, quality of care, and accessibility. These are just a few of the issues that Ian Mitroff addresses in his new book "Dirty Rotten Strategies," and he spoke with Mike Papantonio recently about how we keep trying to solve the wrong problems with our healthcare system.

Fred Phelps has made a name for himself bringing hate to the world through his ministry, the Westboro Baptist Church, and his website "God Hates Fags".
He protested outside Matthew Sheppard's funeral. He protested the funerals of soldiers at Arlington National Cemetery. He protested outside Sascha and Malia Obama's schools.
We all know the Reverend Fred Phelps can bring the hate. But did you know that he can sing? Well, he can!
After announcing plans to protest outside Lady Gaga's January 7th concert in St. Louis, Phelps released the following video where he proves to the world that he can shake his Disco Stick of hate. Take a look.

MediaMatters.orgHere at Ring of Fire we’ve been covering the crazy antics of Glenn Beck before he became a pseudo-celebrity on Fox News. Since then this talking head has evolved from someone who occasionally made outrageous remarks to a dangerous ideologue with equally dangerous followers. This past weekend the Fox host announced that he would be teaching his followers how to become a strong political force in this country and that he would be writing an instructional manual to show them how to supposedly take back their country. Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. talks about how dangerous this man really is with Karl Frisch, a senior fellow at Media Matters for America.
