Zombie Reagan Fails The Reagan TestAs you most likely have heard, the RNC is proposing a Ronald Reagan Republican purity test. And if a Republican politician were to fail that test, they would no longer receive any funding from the RNC.
The problem is that Ronald Reagan himself would have failed the Ronald Reagan Republican purity test.
While Republicans deifying Reagan is nothing new, it turns out they may have used the Reagan name in vain one time too many.
As seen in this exclusive video, Ronald Reagan has in fact become a zombie and risen from the grave to confront RNC chair Michael Steele about the proposed Reagan purity test. Take a look.

Nothing wrong with setting high moral standards...liberals couild learn a lesson...well, I suppose they would need both morals and standards to qualify for that....since they don't...a moot point for them.
For decades the insurance industry has been able to operate outside the legal reach of the federal government when it comes to things like price-fixing and anti-trust laws. But the proposed reforms to healthcare in America could take away that exemption for them. The GOP is now insisting that this will force small businesses to close their doors and that forcing the insurance companies to finally compete in the free market will actually drive costs up. Mike Papantonio appears on Your World with Neil Cavuto to debate the issue.

Laughable in that it is completely backwards. Over regulated and limited competition by virtue of those regulations

RFK, Jr. and Ralph Nader on the Economy
Shortly before the 2008 elections, billionaire Warren Buffet made headlines when he said that he wasn't paying enough in taxes. While this statement made the GOP want to gag, it really highlighted an ugly truth about our current political system - The rich get richer while the poor get taken advantage of. But what if the super-rich people like Warren Buffet and George Soros and Ted Turner all came together to create a better society where the wealthy actually did their part to help the rest of the country? That's exactly the kind of society that Ralph Nader has created in his new book "Only the Super Rich Can Save Us," and Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. interviewed him recently for Ring of Fire about this new political work.

Class hatred and envy isn't going to help in the least. If you confiscate the wealth of producers, they stop producing and the economy grinds to a halt.
Candidate Inconsistency and Voter Choice [[PDF)Stanford University produced a study that showed that voters are repulsed by politicians who don't deliver what they promised. According to Stanford, "flip flop", mealy-mouthed candidates always lose their voter base. David Axelrod should force Obama to read that report titled "Candidate Inconsistency and Voter Choice." Voters dislike inconsistency. They are infuriated by bait and switch political policy. Obama's situation can be explained with easy math. The Stanford study says if a politician is perceived as inconsistent in his commitment, he will lose 14% of his support. But Obama was only elected by a margin of 8%. Uh oh!

Mississippi River-Gulf Outlet CanalSince the first days after Hurricane Katrina, when the streets were still under water, many residents of New Orleans and its surroundings have maintained that the flood that wrecked their lives was the government's fault, and that the government should pay for it. This was a major uphill battle for residents in these areas, as a major class action lawsuit against the federal government seemed unlikely to see the light of day. However, through the dedication of a team of the nation's best attorneys, not only did the case make it to court, but a federal judge last week ruled that the failure of the levees was in fact the result of government negligence. Mike Papantonio talks about this with Pierce O'Donnell, one of the lead attorneys on the case.

Some fault lies with the government...but which government? You have to fault the government [[local, state, and/or federal) going forward with inadequate design and placement despite expertly interpreted scientific evidence exposing the design as dangerous and vulnerable.
Who do they think is paying for it anyway [[fault, or no fault)? The government of course....and where do those funds come from? Taxpayers....like the people asking for the reimbursement...from...themselves....hmmm

Pap and Greg Palast on WTO Summit
The World Trade Organization recently met to talk about issues ranging from the global economic meltdown to the best way for countries to cut their carbon emissions. But if you look beneath the surface you'll see that not only was the WTO one of the biggest culprits in crashing the economy but they're also working to prevent any type of meaningful climate-friendly laws to be adopted. Mike Papantonio talks with Greg Palast, best-selling author of "Armed Madhouse," who recently caught up with the leaders of the WTO and uncovered information that had been classified until now.

Attorney General Eric Holder is asked about the amicus brief his Justice Department filed in defense of, and asking immunity for, John Yoo, the Bush lawyer who wrote legal briefs giving the legal go-ahead for torture.

Puzzling...there must be an implication leading to Obama motivating Holder's apparent reversal here.
Could be...makes more sense that way.

Fascist Joe is scared shitless of Rachel Maddow, since she excoriated fellow fascist Tom Ridge and smeared his face in it, nicely, of course.
Liebermann is one of the most socially backward freaks of nature in American politics. He needs to check into the Mussolini Home for the Aged and Infirm.
