Default Papantonio: Jim DeMint Aids Terrorism

With all of the recent scrutiny airport security has come under, you'd think that making our airlines safer would be a top priority to any politician. But that isn't the case for Jim DeMint who is single-handedly holding up the nomination of President Obama's pick to be the head of the TSA. Mike Papantonio appears on Fox Business's Happy Hour to set the record straight about DeMint.

Default Papantonio: The Banking Industry - America's New Thugs

When Thomas Jefferson told us that the banking institutions would be "more dangerous than standing armies," he had no way of foreseeing the TARP treachery that bankers have pulled off with $500 billion of taxpayers' money. But in 2008 Obama saw the beginning of that treachery when he watched America's most powerful bankers grovel like pathetic paupers begging for handouts.

Default Obama's Big Sellout - Matt Taibbi

    Total duration 25 minutes:

During his campaign, Barack Obama surrounded himself with progressive leaders who believed that we could prevent another economic crisis by enforcing tougher regulations for Wall Street. However, once he took office, he sent those progressives packing, and filled his cabinet with former Wall Street insiders who want to keep the system operating out of the scope of the government. This isnt the "change" that we were expecting, and this is one of the reasons that the president is now facing an uphill battle to win back the votes of his base. Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. talks about the presidents sell out with Matt Taibbi, political correspondent for Rolling Stone magazine.

Default Papantonio - Gadolinium: the General Electric Cover Up

When GE Healthcare came out with a new MRI contrast dye almost two decades ago they told doctors that their new product would allow them to get clearer pictures of patients and make diagnosing brain tumors or other abnormalities easier than ever. What they didn't tell these doctors was that their own lab tests showed that the main component of this dye, called Gadolinium, was causing irreversible diseases in lab rats. And once these effects were seen in human patients the company continued to deny that their contrast dye was to blame. Mike Papantonio talks with attorney Troy Rafferty who is handling some of the cases against GE Healthcare.

Default 10 Biggest Wall Street Lies of 2009

    Total duration 19 minutes:

If I were to tell you that the economy was doing great today or that banks were lending more money to consumers or that Wall Street bankers are working around the clock to help people afford new homes, you'd easily be able to tell that these statements are false. And yet those are just a few of the lies that Wall Street bankers insisted were Gospel truth in 2009 and for the most part, the public actually believed them. Mike Papantonio interviews author Nomi Prins, who has compiled a list of the 10 biggest lies that came from Wall Street last year.

Default Papantonio: Yaz is Killing People

When politicians get caught blatantly lying to the American public it will usually destroy their career. But when corporations do the same thing they just continue with business as usual. This is the case with Bayer Pharmaceuticals who have lied to the American public about the dangers of their blockbuster birth control pill Yaz which has caused all sorts of serious problems for consumers including several deaths. Not only did Bayer mislead the public about these dangers but they failed to do the necessary testing to make sure these drugs wouldn't harm their customers. Mike Papantonio talks with Tim O'Brien, one of the attorneys who is working to hold Bayer accountable for their negligence.

    Total duration 29 minutes:

Matt Filipowicz, who's been keeping tabs on the insanity of the GOP, offers Ring of Fire radio listeners his unique and humorous insight into some of the most absurd news stories that happened over the last few weeks, including Rush Limbaugh's newfound love of socialized medicine and why the GOP is still deathly afraid of Dick Cheney.

    Default Papantonio: The Fearful Fringe

In 2009 the truly terrified hysterics rushed out to buy guns of every description. There were many times you couldn't buy 9mm or 40 caliber shells even for target practice because production couldn't keep up with demand. What was everyone afraid of? Here is the short list: America elected a "Negro president." Democrats were going to take everybody's guns. The liberals were planning a "take over." The immigrant hoards were going to rape and pillage. And there was the threat that some ill-defined world catastrophe was always knocking at our door in 2009. The world was surely ending and only a well-armed militia-trained gun owner with a concealed weapon permit would be ready. We made our love of being afraid into a widespread psychosis. If you don't believe me, go to one of those tea party rallies and ask the question: Why are you here? At the heart of every response, you will hear vague hysterical fear and loathing of something or someone.

    Mike Papantonio
Labor unions are unhappy about Obama's plan to tax Cadillac health insurance plans to pay for reform. But would they concede this for card check? Mike Papantonio appears on Fox's Bulls and Bears to talk about why they need to use this to their advantage.

The recent attempted terrorist attack on a US airliner shows the need for tighter security, but does it mean we should be living in fear? Mike Papantonio appears on Fox News' Bulls and Bears to talk about how Americans refuse to let fear rule their lives in these times.

America is losing jobs left and right and yet the GOP still wants the free market to handle the situation. Mike Papantonio appears on Fox News' Bulls and Bears to talk about why the government needs to step in and help these corporations do what's right for America.

Default Papantonio: God Loves American Unions

President Obama struck a deal with labor unions to exempt their insurance policies from being taxed under his healthcare plan. This has the GOP crying "favoritism" but as Mike Papantonio points out, this is really just Obama returning to his progressive roots.

    Default Papantonio: Limbaugh the Hyena

    Attachment 4912
    Papantonio: Limbaugh the Hyena
A hyena will scavenge graves for food. It is an animal that shows no respect for the dead. Instead, it merely regards the misfortune of once-living carcasses as an opportunity. In East Nigeria they have a belief that there are people who are capable of turning themselves into hyenas at will. Rush Limbaugh gave credence to that Nigerian superstition last week when he used the tragedy of 100,000 Haitian men, women, and children to promote himself as America's number one radio thug without a conscience. Default Religious Zealots Arming Our Troops

If you were to ask someone in the Middle East why the US is fighting two wars over there, about half of the responses you'd hear would be that the US is trying to impose Christianity on the Muslim world. And while the government wants to say that this isn't the case, the contractors they're hiring to supply weapons to our troops tell a much different story. Joining Mike Papantonio to talk about the Christian zealots that are arming our soldiers is comedian Matt Filipowicz, the founder of Headzup.TV.

Default Papantonio to Democrats: No Time for Knee Jerk

Obama made the comment during a recent ABC interview that he has "lost touch" with the American people. The only question that arises from this statement is "What people is he trying to connect with?" The tea partiers? The birthers? The death panel-ers? According to Mike Papantonio in his most recent appearance on Fox Business's Happy Hour, the only people Obama needs to worry about re-connecting with are his base, and he needs to be pushing full steam ahead with his agenda, ignoring the lunatic fringe that has taken over the GOP.

Default Papantonio: Scott Brown, The Union's Wake Up Call

In last week's special election for the Massachusetts' Senate seat labor unions did not provide their usual support for the Democratic candidates. But does this mean that unions are losing power or switching their party allegiance? According to Mike Papantonio the answer to that is "no" and he explains why the unions are necessary for the Democratic Party and the American economy in this clip from Fox News' Cashin' In.

Default Papantonio: Haiti - A New Infrastructure Matters

With Haitians still overcoming the shock of the earthquake that destroyed their country the question has arisen as to whether or not cruise ships [[like those run by Royal Caribbean) should still be shipping tourists to the country. The GOP says that private companies will help the country more than our charitable donations but as Mike Papantonio points out in this clip from Fox News' Cashin' In, private companies aren't going to be rebuilding roads, sewers, and hospitals - things that would actually help the country.

Default Papantonio: The Supreme Court's Five Circus Midgets

Fascism is a word that is overused when one political interest group is describing the bad conduct of another opposition political interest group. The politics of fascism is not difficult to understand. But I have heard plenty of college professors complicate the definition of fascism to the point that it would be tough to recognize if it knocked on your front door. At the core of fascism you will always find unchecked power of big money industrialists controlling the messages of mass media. You could search the history books forever and you would never find an instance where those two essential elements of fascism were not present. Typically, it occurs when a powerful political leader gains the backing of monied industrialists and together with force they silence the watchdog voice of mass media. But last week it was the U.S. Supreme Court that laid the groundwork for a powerful political leader to join well-financed industrialists and gain control over America's airways. The Court determined that a company like Exxon could use as much of their $40 billion annual profits as they chose to wage limitless corporate media campaigns against any political opponent who opposes Exxon's gluttonous view of the world.

Default Papantonio: Blue Dog Democrats Have Mange

The president is talking with Republicans but analysts say Obama's bigger problem is not Republicans, but moderate and conservative Democrats -- Blue Dogs -- in swing districts who are at risk in the mid-term elections in November. They are, as a group, running scared after the Massachusetts Senate race and are now more concerned about saving their own jobs than saving the President's 2010 agenda. But what they seem to be forgetting is that the president's agenda is what got him elected. Mike Papantonio appears on Fox Business's Happy Hour to talk about why the president needs to ignore the Blue Dogs and go full steam ahead with his agenda.

Default Papantonio and Joseph Stiglitz on the Economic Freefall

    Total duration 16 minutes:
Papantonio and Joseph Stiglitz on the Economic Freefall

It's been almost two years since the economy began its downward spiral and to this day the very folks on Wall Street who caused this mess are still sitting in powerful positions at the top of America's financial services companies. If you examine the root causes of our current crisis it becomes painfully obvious that the big bankers decided that they could take as much risk as possible without any regard to the well-being of their clients. As a result, banks lost money, their clients lost money, and taxpayers lost money when we had to bail them out. Mike Papantonio talks about how this started and what we need to do prevent another meltdown with Nobel Prize-winning economist Joseph Stiglitz, author of the new book Freefall: America, Free Markets, and the Sinking of the World Economy.

    Default Papantonio: Change Terrifies Conservatives

Lately conservative leadership has surfaced with a new idea about how they can ease the suffering that change causes for their fearful conservative flock. I call it rewrite therapy. It is where they create an alternative reality by rewriting or erasing historical events that cause them anxiety. It began with the Conservative Bible Project. That is a project aimed at removing from the Bible anything that conservatives regard as liberal bias. For example, the oddballs working on this project tell us that liberals changed the ancient wording of the Bible in such a way that free market thinking was distorted with wording that promotes concepts of socialism. They want to see words like laborer and fellow worker and comrade yanked from the Bible. That is change they can believe in.

President Obama announced that he was beefing up funding for the Small Business Administration which is expected to increase job creation. But the biggest opponent is the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. Mike Papantonio appears on Fox Business's Happy Hour to talk about why the Chamber must be stopped in order to create sustainable jobs in America.

Last week Massachusetts Senator Scott Brown unveiled his "fresh" new ideas to help our economy - cut taxes! Apparently Mr. Brown has no recollection of the last three Republican administrations who all cut taxes and plunged our economies into a recession. Mike Papantonio appears on Fox News' Bulls and Bears to discuss Brown's brain dead ideas.
